Downloading Programmes

How to download audio programmes to your computer.

PodExec allows you to download programmes directly to your computer from your web browser - you don't need any special software.

This makes downloading very simple. When you have bought a programme, simply click on 'Your Library' on the menu bar.

This will display a list of all the programmes you own, with a Download button by each one. Simply click this button, choose to save the file to disk, and select where you want to save it if your browser asks you.

Then the file will download to your computer. Once it's finished you can listen on your computer in most media players, or you can transfer to a portable device such as an MP3-enabled PDA, or an MP3 player such as an iPod. You may also choose to burn a copy of the programme to audio CD so you can listen in the car.

The license that PodExec grants you allows you to make copies like this for your personal user only. We haven't placed any 'DRM' locks on the files because this can cause technical issues for you, but the files are copyright and may not be distributed by you to anyone else. Please respect this license as it helps us to encourage more audio publishers to distribute content in this way.

It can be a good idea to make a backup of your audio download - however it will always remain in your PodExec Library, and you will be able to download it again at any time.

TIP: when you download the audio file to your computer, select to put it in the 'My Music' folder if you want it to be automagically discovered by Windows Media Player, or in the 'iTunes' folder to do the same in iTunes.
